“This is a 1969 Layton single axle travel trailer with a bathroom and shower. This camper was used as an on site unit and camped in every weekend up until last week. This camper underwent a refurbishment a little while back but has a couple little dings and dents in it due to it's age. I am in the process of repainting the exterior prior to end of auction. This camper should undergo an interior makeover due to the cool layout of the interior and the amount of room afforded inside somebody could really take advantage of what this unit offers and make themselves a great towable vintage travel trailer.”

Vehicle description

This is a 1969 Layton 16 foot single axle camper/travel trailer. It is 20 feet from tongue to bumper and has a gross weight of 2000 lbs. This camper was on a site up until a week ago and had been refurbished a little while back. This unit can sleep 4 comfortably and has a new queen size mattress that is extremely comfortable. This camper has a full bath with sink and shower. It has a full galley to include a new refrigerator with freezer 3 burner stove and oven along with dual basin kitchen sink. This camper has most of the original fixtures inside including a Duo-therm propane heater and hot water heater. It has laminate flooring installed. The kitchen table is removable to open up the floor plan if needed for extra guests. The floor plan of this camper is unique compared to the usual floor plans of most other campers out there. The interior floor plan is just very cool and makes this camper unique. It has an underneath holding tank with sewer hook-up. This camper has dual 40lb LP gas tanks mounted in front with plastic tank cover. Its had a front window awning installed. All windows open and close as they should. Roof does not leak. Tires are in excellent condition and this camper tows very easily with just about any vehicle pulling it. I just pulled it for 4 hours with a little Ford Sport-Trac without any issues or trouble. This camper is currently in my shop getting a go over that includes the bearings being repacked the axle and alignment being checked seems being resealed along with new exterior paint. This is a great camper for someone to be able to use throughout the remainder of the season and to redesign the interior to their liking during the off season. This camper is very open and extremely roomy inside with a 6 1/2 foot ceiling. I can deliver this camper anywhere in the United States if need be for an extra fee. Additional pictures will be added prior to the end of the auction of the finished painted exterior. This camper has no title due to its age and New Hampshire being a title exempt State for vehicles prior to 1999. I will include with this camper a Bill of Sale and a current registration in which the winning bidder will have no problem being able to register even if their State requires a title. Happy Bidding on this vintage camper that some lucky bidder will win and enjoy.
