1955 SPARTAN ROYAL MANSION FOR SALE- GOOD BODY AND FRAME- 37FT. OVERALL LENGTH- VIN# 33755211. GREAD RESTORATION CANDIDATE.
T his trailer was purchased in 2004 with the intent of doing a partial restoration but time has gotten away from us and we must move on. It has been moved twice (once a few months ago to its current location) without any issues. The original propane oven and built-in Frigidaire refrigerator, newer 10 gallon water heater and propane stove were all in working order when purchased in 2004. The plumbing and much of the wiring were updated in 1997. The ceramic tile in bathroom is original as well as the galley fixtures.
Exterior: The exterior of this Spartan is very original and straight. There is one place on the front right panel that has some damage (see pic 15). It has all original windows and doors. The main side door that opens into the living area has a broken handle (see pic 17) and the front/side window needs the gasket replaced (see pic 16). It is built like an airplane with riveted construction for long life and durability. It also has aircraft grade aluminum, which can be polished up to a mirror finish.
Interior: The interior is very original and in decent shape for an unrestored trailer. It has the nice birch wood interior for lots of warmth and character. It has the original birch paneling on the walls and ceiling. Most is in nice shape however there are some places with water stains and a few missing trim pieces. There is also a window space that was used for an AC unit that was covered with plywood when we purchased it. It has recently deteriorated and needs to be replaced. (See pic 5). The bedroom does not have the original furniture but can accommodate a full size bed.
I really wanted to restore this trailer but it is not to be. I hope someone else will see the potential and is willing to restore it to it"s former glory.
