Vehicle description
1940 Diamond T Pak-Age-Car.
There are only 2 of these known to have survived. The other is restored and can be seen online. There are a few Stutz versions out there as well. I have been in contact with the owner of the other known survivor. He has an extra drivetrain that could be for sale.
This particuar one was a Cunocar. Cunocar was a mobile accounting firm in the California Central Valley. They used these trucks as a mobile office. It has electrical inside and a place outside to hook up a power cord.
Needs complete restoration. The original Lycoming motor is long gone and it was converted to a Willys 134 F head 4 cylinder. Which is a very good choice based on part availability. Motor does not turn, carb is missing. The rest of the drivetrain is original.
It has its original data plates, one hubcap, original hood emblem, Original horn button etc. Basically the impossible to find items are here.
Body is double walled with metal ribbing, very stout. Only wood is in door. Does have two roll up windows, and all mechanisms are here. All windows are original to this truck, they were not hacked in at some later point.
It is very solid, but does have to pieces of aluminum down both sides riveted along the bottom. The top is tight and does not appear to have ever leaked.
It is a blank canvas, can go any direction one wanted in restoration.
All 4 wheels are original. Even though front and rear do not match, see factory original "milk delivery" photo.
I do NOT have title. It has always been in central CA. I will sell on a "Bill Of sale".
It rolls and steers easily. I can hold for 30 days while transportation arrangements are made. Payment in full in 7 days.
This is a realist. I had a lot of interest and have dropped the price $5000 so it will sell.
