Vehicle description

Vehicle Details Other Makes. This 1949 Diamond T 201, is known as the Cadillac of Pickup trucks in its day. Very rare, especially rare because it is not completely rotted out. This one has no rust, I mean even the frame is not what I would call rusty, the frame has not been painted which is normal, but it is not all pitted up either. The engine was completely rebuilt about 10 years ago and it has a new clutch, and flywheel. I had the radiator along with the starter completely remanufactured. It is still a 6 volt all original truck. It has an original box which is 9' long and the original tail gate still attached and in great shape. I was told it was repainted in the 70's which is most likely why it is not full of holes. Also it has lived out it's long life in El Paso Texas on a dry dusty farm, even the doors are completely rust free. It has two of the most difficult parts to find for an original 201 pickup, a full set of hub caps and an original queen bee drivers extendable mirror. It runs like a sewing machine and drives like a 1949 Diamond T 201 truck should. These trucks are rated to carry 4000 pounds and they weigh about that same amount. I have a remanufactured emblem for the hood ornament and a remanufactured Horn button kit for it as well. It has all new glass and I have a complete set of door gaskets that go with it. It is equipped with what I believe is the original Hercules QXLD-3 engine and I have an extra head for the engine and the service manual for that too. Two or three peaces of stainless trim and this little red truck could be a show winner! Images Download the Motors app
