Vehicle Details Gorgeous, 1947 Diamond T 201. Just completed frame off restoration. Originally sold as a flat bed with the rare duel wheel option. After 70+ years, this truck has been outfitted with a custom bed, reminiscent of vintage tow trucks. The substantial wooden bed floor completes the look. The original Hercules engine has been rebuilt. The work includes: boring block, grinding crank shaft and valves, all new seals and gaskets. Original Warner T9 4-speed transmission received new bearings and seals. Electrical system has been updated to 12 volt. All new wiring harness, rebuilt started and generator. Original gauges are all in working order. Brake work includes: new master cylinder, new wheel cylinders, new lines and hoses, and relined shoes. Truck has six new tires, new fuel tank and lines, all new glass and seals, sound suppression in cab, new paint, upholstery and rubber matting on floor of cab. Vintage heater with defroster in working order. Extra pieces included in the sale: Three outside and two inside door handles, three window regulators, and three window crank handles. Two diff. axle shafts, standard front bumper, steering wheel, and a radiator surround.Diamond T trucks are no frills, heavy duty vehicles, with a unique charm of their own.
