The Triumph TR4 was produced from 1961 to 1965. The TR4 body was designed by Giovanni Michelotti, one of the most prolific designers of sports cars in the 20th century. His notable contributions were for Ferrari, Lancia, Maserati and the Triumph marques. In spite of its modern styling, a total of only 40,253 TR4 models were built during its 5-year production run. Code named "Zest" during development, the new TR4 body style did away with the cutaway door design of the previous TRs to allow for wind-down (roll-up) windows in place of less convenient side-curtains. The angular rear allowed a boot (trunk) with considerable capacity for a sports car. The pushrod inline-4 TR4 engine was continued from the earlier TR2/3 models, but the displacement was increased from 1991cc to 2138 cc (130.5 cu in) I4 in the TR4 by increasing bore size, backed by a 4-Speed manual gearbox.
This 1965 Triumph TR4 has is believed to have undergone an older full restoration finished back to its original White finish with a Black convertible top over Black/ White Piping interior. It is equipped with the rare 60-lace wire 15" wheels with chrome spinners. This TR4 runs smooth and provides an exhilarating open-air experience you would expect in a classic British sports car. These timeless cars are increasingly getting harder to find on the market. Inquire today.
