MORE PICTURES COMING! Mileage is around 70K - I replaced the speedo with a used unit when it stoped working. So the the mileage on the current speedo is incorrect. However, the car runs like a champ and does not burn oil. Sounds great. Overdrive works great.
I bought this from a 85 year old guy who had owned it since the 1970s. He stopped driving some 20 years ago and had it up on blocks in his garage the whole time.
I went through everything mechaniclly on the car and it needs nothing now. Items that were replaced: New mini high torque starter New clutch New radiator (replica of original in brass). High flow fan blade New distributor and electronic ignition. New fuel pump and fuel line. Entire brake system rebuilt.
Now it is competely reliable and fun to drive. I put on very hard to find first year TR6 rims and had the hubcap studs shortened for TR3/4 hubcaps (I used the TR3 caps for the nicer cloisonne center caps). The wheels were then powder coated. You even get a spare rim as I had 5 of them made. It gives the car a wider stance with the deeper dish look. Handles great. New tires as well. I have the original rims, tires, hubcaps that go with the car - if wanted. Original jack is in trunk.
It has the convertible top frame and cover but I never used it. I prefer the toneau cover and the previous owner had a custom weather proof cover made for it that goes with the car.
The interior is very nice - needs nothing. It"s an older restoration and has held up well. I put the Michelotti badge on the dash - seemed appropriate!
The body is an older repaint that is showing it"s age with some cracking to the paint in areas probably due to an amateur job or lack of prep. It is a solid 10 footer though but this car deserves better. I just enjoy it as is. Being a New Mexico car it is solid and there is no cancerous rust. Solid floors and panels. No promises that there are not issues or bondo under the paint but I can"t see anything and my magnet didnt pick up any suspicious areas. Just think 30 years of Patina and you shouldnt be too surprised.
Right now you can enjoy this car with confidence. However, it is old and we all know that anything can unpredicatably happen - so no warranty implied. SOLD AS-IS WHERE IS AND WILL ASSISIT WITH WORKING WITH YOUR CHOICE OF SHIPPER.
