Vehicle description
Long story short: I just finished remodeling a "71 Aristocrat in April. Camped all month of May in it w/ a portapotty in the closet. Decided I wanted a full bathroom. Early June, found this Shasta locally - had bathroom, bought it. Figured to remodel it during the Fall, Winter & Spring and have it ready for the 2020 season. Fast forward a few months and life has brought us some changes, so unfortunately the Shasta is up for sale.
From my knowledge and researching, it is pretty much completely original - cushions, curtains, upholstery, floors, walls, appliances, bathroom, awning - EVERYTHING. One of the things that made me purchase this, is there is a binder FULL of all of the original brochures and user manuals for all of the appliances and whatever else you can think of that came in the trailer. Lots of receipts for minor purchases over the years as well.
SPECS from manual: exterior length: 17" 10" exterior clearance height: 105" exterior width: 92" interior height: 75 3/4" sleeping capacity: 6 cushion thickness: 5" vehicle weight: 2750 lbs hitch weight or pin weight: 355 lbs GAWR - total undercarriage weight cap.: 3500 lbs hitch ball height: 16 1/2" axle - single wide track (5 bolt dexter) electric brakes - all wheels ball coupler or pin size: 2 5/16" When purchased, was told all appliances work. I haven"t tried any. Electric worked when I plugged into house and water in kitchen sink and bathroom runs. Not sure what condition awning is in, have not opened it. Roof looks clean, no patchwork up there. Previous owner went a little silicone crazy around some windows and other areas. It is over 40 years old so I know it had leaked at one point - the wall at goucho couch/bed has rot/soft areas in both lower corners. Plus the curtains back there do show some water stains. A couple of the window opening turn handles are broken, but I"ve seen them online to replace. The fender/wheel well areas are cracked but still there and attached. I don"t feel soft spots when walking on floor, feels good. Cushions will need to be recovered, fabric is splitting in random areas. Maybe some of it is reusable.
What I love about it: It"s pretty much unmolested and original. I like the original hanging divider/privacy curtain. I like the flip-up tables at the couch. I like ALL of the storage and the large closet by bathroom. I like the original bathroom complete w/ shower curtain, wall paper, etc. I like the original stove top cover that offers more counter top space. The double propane canisters are a great size. If I keep going, I may end up keep it! lol.
Clear Title. Other questions, please ask. I can always check the user manual for more specs and stuff.
