Vehicle description
Hey campers! We"re putting up for sale our beloved 1962 Shasta Compact, which we lived out of for three months (and 15 states) earlier this year. Our asking price is $8,400, and included in that is everything you"d need to go camping tonight!
This travel trailer may be vintage, but it features brand-new electrical wiring, updated water pipes to both the 16-gallon storage tank and live hose hookup, and two futon mattresses for sitting by day and sleeping by night (the benches fold down and meet to form a king-size bed). The tires were recently replaced and the wheel bearings recently repacked. The frame was also inspected and given high marks by the appraiser.
All those upgrades aside, the camper still boasts many of the original retro touches that make it so unique. From the trademark Shasta wings on top to the gas lamp and pump sink inside, there is much for a collector to admire, if that"s what you happen to be. If not, rest assured that it is camping ready - we had it out earlier this month in Telluride!
Length is 13 feet, 8 inches; Width is 6 ft, 6 in; Height is 7 ft, 8 in Weight is 1,150 lbs (perfect for lower-powered vehicles like our CR-V!)
We are located in the Denver metro area, but are happy to deliver within 150 miles at $1 per mile away.
Note: Currently without propane line, but you could easily add to take advantage of floor furnace and gas lamp. Stove would also be compatible.
Bonus stuff (available for additional $400) Mini refrigerator Coleman camp stove Movie projector and screen Spare tire Hose with water purifier Sewage attachment Extension cord Security lock Jack Wheel chocks Curtains Holiday lights
What"s wrong One jalousie window pane in the front One window hand crank on the side Slight cracks in exterior near door Back window/roof hatch need resealing to prevent water damage
