Vehicle description
I have purchased an Alvis Stalwart. Which is a whole different beast! It is going to be a hugh under taking. So I have decided to sell my Pinzgauer. I drive this truck on a weekly basis. It goes to Lowe"s, the grocery store, out for lunch, Cars and Coffee and down the trails. I love the truck.
This does not mean I am going to give this awesome truck away. I have priced it below any truck listed on Ebay, Craigslist, Military trader or the 2 well known Pinzgauer suppliers here state side. In my opinion it is in far better condition than most other trucks over all.
It is a 1975 Pinzgauer 710M, Has roughly 57,000 miles or 93k kilometers on it. Originally set up as a soft top radio truck. Has full black out curtains, dual rear antenna mounts also front cab mount, radio rack and 2 covered storage boxes in the rear. Currently arranged with two, 2 person bench seats. Radio rack and storage boxes are easily removed to add 2 more bench seats on either side.
Mechanically the truck runs and drives as it should. When I purchased the truck I switched it over to civilian ignition, Removed and flushed fuel tank, replaced fuel filter & fuel sending unit (OEM VDO) Fuel guage still did not respond. Replaced fuel guage (OEM VDO) Calibrated guage and works as it should. Had both Carburetors completely gone through, rebuilt and synchronized. The trucks starts and runs great. Has plenty of power. 2 new Interstate batteries. Brakes have been checked and adjusted. Does NOT dive or dart when applying the brakes. E-brake holds the truck with out issue. Recently replaced all 4 tires with load range E 265/75R16 tires. Truck rides very well on and off road. I have probably put less than 350 miles on the tires. There are no fluid leaks to speak of. It is dry on the underside and leaves no oil spots! The truck shifts smoothly without issues. All 3 hydrolic shift on the fly lockers work, front, center and rear. Low range also engages as it should. Never been in a situation to need it.
Exterior is very clean. Paint is nice and shows very well. No soft spots and no rust holes anywhere. There is little superficial surface rust on the under carriage. Typical of the midwest climate. truck was originally from Colorado.
Interior and tops. The seats are in good condition. No holes and show no signs of extreme wear. The front canvas top keeps out the water and is still pliable. A little faded but could easily be dyed back to a deeper green color. I had new windows installed in the rear canvas top last year. It too is pliable and could be dyed. I believe there maybe one small patch on it but completely useable and keeps the weather out. As stated above it comes with a complete set of black out curtains.
Please ask all questions prior to bidding. This is NOT a buy-it-now ask questions and negotiate later kind of deal. I encourage anyone interested to come take a look at it in person. However I do feel that you will be more than pleased if you purchased it and had it shipped home. Please look at my feedback. You will see that I am a 100% seller and always describe my items as what they truely are! !
