This Pinzgauer served as an ammunition transporter in the Swiss army and has therefore a very low milage. (only 45000 km) I got the pinzgauer through a collector where the car stood still for 9 years in a collection of old tractors. Because it was an odd vehicle among the tractors, he was willing to sell it to me. I made the pinzgauer technically in order and put it on a Dutch registration, MOT is valid until Dec 2022. After many off-road rides where no mountain is too high and no muddy pool too deep (I have pulled out many stuck landcruisers and landrovers) I can say that this is one of the best off-road vehicles out there! The pinzgauer is completely original and complete with all tools, snow chains and even the original folding bucket with brush to clean the windows is present (rare!) The Pinzgauer has a central tube chassis with swing axles (a hallmark of the Austrian school of car designers) which gives it high ground clearance. The Pinzgauer can climb very steep slopes (80%). All axles can be locked from inside during driving and a high and low gear are present. Thanks to the high-positioned exhaust and air intake, and the closed differentials, it can drive through water of 70 cm depth. The 4cilinder 2.5 ltr engine is air-cooled and has multiple oil pumps to maintain oil pressure at any angle of inclination it produces 98 Hp. The top speed is 105 km/h but cruising speed is 90 km/h, and the payload is 1000 kilos. Because the car is all complete with the originall army equipment, it would be a nice addition to a collection of army vehicles. But for the handyman it can also be a nice basis for a cool adventure camper, that will take you anywhere! (see last 2 pictures) Pinzgauers were used in the Paris-Dakar rally and standard pinzgauer compete in the modified class at many trail rides. look on you-tube for videos of pinzgauer in action.
