Up for auction, from the design studio of SHS , our first mobile renovation! She"s GORGEOUS!
Rather than doing a traditional vintage restoration, we decided to do something different. We gutted her and turned her into a love nes t on wheels!
Miss Behaven is a 1967 Shasta travel trailer WITHOUT a bathroom. This camper was originally designed without one. Travelers would use the site"s facilities.
She offers an comfy ultrasuede loveseat, with stowable custom coffee table that features a faux alligator surface, a working (original) sink, new faucet, working gas stove, new refrigerator, microwave, new permanently installed AC unit, and an (almost) full size, deluxe memory foam mattress. (The mattress was trimmed to fit. The bed is as wide as we could make it, approx. 4 inches less on the width, length is standard) All new bedding. New waterproof vinyl flooring. Counters are custom painted, gold leafed, and clear-coated. Vinyl backsplash. New water pump. Original working gas lamp over stove. New electrical wiring throughout, new light fixtures, and two chandeliers. One is crystal, the other is resin, for safety. We"ll include everything you see in the photos (except my favorite wine glasses, lol). We restored the original cutting board with a new silicone cutting surface.
Tons of storage for such a compact little girl! Overhead and under-sink cabinets are original, wall unit is new. Under bed storage, half inside access, the other half accesses from the lockable exterior hatch.
Outside, the roof has been rubberized and original windows sealed. New skylight dome. All screens are original and intact. NO LEAKS! New custom Sunbrella awning from Marti"s Awnings of California. We told her we were doing a mixed metal theme, and we think she nailed our vision!
(Please note, that in the pictures, we slapped the awning up quickly, due to a major storm threat. We will supply the ropes, 2 poles and stakes for a proper setup. Also, both propane tank and battery were stowed for the pictures, but, of course, are included). Gently sanded, but not down to the metal, so she has some old sags and drips under the new paint. Marine-grade gold metal paint on the trim. Some dings and dents. Less hours on the outside so we could glam up the inside. See the last pics for defects. Tires are good, and she tows nicely.
We like the idea of this being a fun and romantic little getaway rig (easily pulled, weighing only 1850 lbs), but what about a tiny little guest house? She-Shed? Lots of possibilities with this teeny scamp!
