1979 CESSNA 172N SKYHAWK II (N17SM) (LESS ENGINE- NEEDS H2AD/D2J CONVERSION, SHIMMY DAMPER TUNE UP, AND HORIZONTAL STABILIZER TUNE UP)
Great time builder if you can put a new engine in it or part it out! Has hail damage but did not affect flying characteristics-
-Complete Logs/History -HOBBS: 3431 -HOURS: 4057.5 -Garmin 400 (My understanding is that this is upgradeable for impending FAA Instrument flight requirements / database outdated but can be upgraded with inexpensive card adapter which can be purchased online) -Bendix/King KX155 TSO NAV/COMM -KING KX 196 TSO COMM -NARCO AT50A TSO -DUAL GLIDE SLOPES can be slaved to GPS or NAV -LONG RANGE GRAVITY FED FUEL TANKS -24 VOLT ELECTRIC STARTER -WELL GREASED PULLEYS, JOINTS, CABLES, ETC. -LITTLE TO NO CORROSION PRESENT! -Interior well maintained with only some brittle-plastic cracking/ seats/fabric in good shape and clean (See photos)
Upon Annual, in June 2017, discovered necessity for new engine- no longer airworthy- Would love to keep but cannot afford to replace engine or maintain :(
