RELISTED due to buyer not being able to secure financing. Please do your homework prior, I am here to sell this plane, not make pen pals.
1946 Cessna 140 SN# 11316 AC TT: 5308 Continental C-85-12F
SMOH: 1303 (1992) STOP: 67 You’re looking at a turn-key, fly-in ready summer fun taildragger, not a flying project. Plenty of work and money were put into this 140 to make it dependable and safe. Logs complete. 457# Useful. Annual due 11/19. Times may vary as it is still flown.
Lots of desirable mods: · Sky-Tec Starter · Odyssey Lightweight Battery · Cessna 150 Mufflers · Spin-on oil filter · Auto-gas STC · Scott 3200 Tailwheel · Grove solid axles · Fiberglass wheelpants Purchased in 2015 flew for few months then preformed the following work: Wings cleaned, primed, re-wired, re-covered with Stitts, and painted in glossy Aerothane white. Fuselage stripped with Ekostrip, prepped and painted with PPG. Engine cylinders we removed and internals inspected by Poplar Grove and found to be good order, so a top overhaul was accomplished with new factory cylinders. New Bendix mags & leads were installed at that time as well. Full interior refresh with leather seats, new headliner, new carpet, and door panels Other info – About 500 hours ago engine dissembled and replaced camshaft with new, main bearings also replaced at that time. Generator rebuilt recently as well.
Included with the sale are original “pretzel” style yokes & federal 1500 skis w/ rigging. If you do not want the skis that is fine, but the plane needs to go into the shop to remove the attaching brackets. Selling the plane simply because we have too many planes and ran out of space in our hangar.
Possible trades for older 182 or non-runout e-series bonanza.
