The last annual was done in 2011, the aircraft is owned by a 92 year old former engineer and tool maker who first flew in the Army Air Corps in 1944. He last flew the aircraft in 2011, taking short trips around our area. He gradually developed dementia but still believed he could fly. That explains why there were no annuals for the past 7+ years. Since he purchased the aircraft in 2006, it has been hangared at our airpark home in northern Arizona. He entered a Memory Care facility in January 2018, leaving the airplane to be sold. My neighbor, who is an IA, performed a pre-buy inspection with the above results. The aircraft is out of annual and can be ferried. The aircraft is being advertised locally and may be removed from EBay early.
