Vehicle description
NO RESERVE AUCTION 1986 Toyota Sunrader Monterey RV with 93,000 miles on the Toyota 22RE, Fuel Injected 4 Cylinder Engine with automatic transmission. I bought this RV from a local private seller and drove it 30 miles to my house with no issues. My wife thinks it is too small (18ft) for our family and I have chosen to sell it. It drives like a car. Mechanical Toyota 22RE, Fuel Injected 4 Cylinder Engine with automatic transmission. It is equipped with the upgraded axle and is a true dually with 6 lugs (important). Tires are in very good condition. The brakes need to be looked at. They go to the floor and then pump up sometimes. Not sure if it is the master cylinder or if the brakes need to be bled. The exhaust has a leak and is loud. The headlights, brake lights and turn signals work fine. The taillights and marker lights do not. Probably a bulb or fuse. All dummy lights are off. Exterior The Sunrader has the coveted fiberglass shell which is not prone to leak! I do not see any cracks on the shell. The passenger side rear wheel flare does have a 3" crack but it does not effect the shell. Both fenders have a little rust. The door to the living area works fine but does have some clear calk around the window. The rear ladder is secure but the top rack needs to have a bolt or two replaced. I have not tested the awning but was told it works. Interior The driver"s area is in VGC with little wear. It has an updated radio and CB radio. All you need is a trucker "handle". There is no AC in the cab. The interior living area appears to be complete. All the appliances appear to be original and in good condition. I have only tested the electrical system (12 V and 110). I tested the refrigerator on shore power and it cooled down nicely. All the interior lights, exhaust fans, and outlets work. I have not tested any of the appliances that run on gas only (furnace, stove, water heater) but I have no reason to believe they wont work. The cushions are complete but do show wear. I would re-upholster or replace,. The carpet on the floor is in average condition for it"s age. I have not detected any soft spots on the floor. The bathroom surround is in good condition but there is a crack in the floor pan that the previous owner tried to calk?! There is no AC in the living area but the rear vent is wired for one. The ceiling fabric was drooping down and it appears a mouse made a home in it. I ripped it out, making the fiberglass shell visible. You can replace the headliner or leave it. This RV is 31 years old and some things will need attention right away (brakes, tail lights), while other things can wait. I have tried to be overly honest in my assessment of the RV. I surely missed something given the age of this puppy. I am not a mechanic or a RV expert. Just a dreamer. I encourage you to ask questions or even inspect the RV if possible. It is far from perfect but has good bones. For Local Pick Up Only. $500 deposit due within 48 hours. Complete payment due within 5 business days.
