Vehicle description

Here"s your chance to own one of the most solidly built and virtually indestructible vintage motorhomes ever built!
The Bluebird Wanderlodge is an all steel bodied Class A factory-built coach! Known for safety and durability, Bluebird built these in the same factory with school busses from the 1960s to the 1990s. "Birdie Brown" is 33" long, has a center bath unit and full bed in the master bedroom. Sports a Caterpillar 3208 V8 turbo (upgraded) with an Allison 4 speed automatic transmission; gets 8-10 MPG. The dinette makes another full and the front couch slides out to a full as well. Can tow up to 10,000 pounds. Just proved herself with a trip from Rapid to Yellowstone and back, over the Bighorns (8400ft altitude change): she did great!
This baby has been totally gone through: too much to list here! It"s been redecorated with a "Rustic" theme, almost everything has been touched in the last year!
Brand new: Pex/PVC plumbing, electric water heater, 12v pump, Duracell AGM batteries, 100w solar system, 3-stage charging system, dashboard/gauges, GPS, CB, backing cameras, microwave, bedroom carpet, overhead bins carpeted, pillows, bedding, blackout curtains, LED 120v lamps, most interior and exterior 12v lighting converted to LED. 2/3 roof exhaust fans are brand new.
Reconditioned: galley cabinets, 4-burner range, fridge, ice maker, propane tank, holding tanks.
Remodeled: galley countertop/backsplash, dinette table, bedroom counters/cabinets, overhead bin doors, bathroom counter/backsplash. Wrapped bathroom with vinyl mural of Cody WY. Added custom fold-down workstation to living area. Converted TV/Microwave area to a wine/coffee bar with Keurig.
Good: tires, brakes, 2 rooftop A/C forced heat units, 3 propane space heaters (2 are new, one not fully installed), central vac system. Was repainted at some point (early 90"s?) and was used mostly for attending car races. Previous owner installed vinyl wood-look flooring throughout and built a custom railing/deck system for the roof (needs new decking).
Could use: some paint maintenance, new rooftop A/C covers, reconditioning of the awnings, a TV or two, updated stereo system, a few compartments need attention. Has "operational" Onan 10.2kw diesel generator, but is not connected (there"s a story). Factory hydraulic leveling system installed but not operational. Other minor "tinkering" that is typical of a 38 year old car/home! (there is always something that could be done!)
Come with "Blue Box" and a few bins of original parts, replacement parts and other "goodies." Comes complete with everything to go camping right now (sewer drain lines, water lines, electric hookups and more)! Currently winterized and stored privately.
See the pix! Please do your homework: these units are more expensive than comparable "stick-and-staple" RVs of their vintage! They are solid, won"t rot out are desirable and appreciating! It"s cheaper to buy one of these than to convert your own "skoolie" and THIS one will be accepted in any RV park! And don"t worry about her age: "Birdie" has ANOTHER 35 years left in her!
