Vehicle description

1979 Airstream Sovereign 31’ travel trailer with International package. Very good original condition with some updates. This trailer weighs just over 5,000 lbs. empty and has a GVWR of 7100 lbs. We have towed this trailer over 10,000 miles using a 2015 Silverado 1500 with no issues. If you inspect the map in one of the photos, you can see that we covered much of the U.S. The brakes and bearings were serviced last fall just prior to completing the 2018 Highway 61 Revisited Caravan. The five year old tires are in good condition with plenty of tread and no sidewall checking. Battery was replaced in January of 2019. All systems are in good working condition and the unit is ready to use. The skin is in good condition with some clear coat peel, a little road rash and a couple of dings that can be seen in the photos. There is a complete awning package that includes full curb, road, front and rear awnings as well as front and rear side curtains and tire covers. The original Zip Dee chairs are included as well. The living room has a nice open floor plan with a gaucho couch and a two-leaf folding table that tucks into the wall when not in use. The kitchen has a four burner stove with oven, double sink, refrigerator and newer microwave. The fridge gets very cold on both gas and electric. The bedroom area contains two matching twin mattresses with new bedding and ample storage. There are two full length closets for your clothes. The bathroom area contains a toilet, sink, and a full bath/shower with a removable shower head. The bathroom area is in excellent condition. Most of the lighting has been converted to LED and there are 3 powered vents. The flooring has been replaced with the vinyl material used on the new Classics. A weight distributing hitch and spare tire are included as well as repair records and a complete repair manual. We have clean Florida title. As with any trailer of this vintage, there are some things that may need attention: Some of the paneling has peeling vinyl. Tires are about 5 years old and may need replacing due to age. The spring on the rear awning is broken and should be replaced and the rear awning fabric will need to be re-stitched as it is separating at the middle seam. There is a small area of rust around the drain. The front step does not always latch correctly, so we use a portable step to enter and exit the unit. There is a small crack in the bath/shower. This has not caused any problems as it is well above the water line. The piezo for the fridge is a little cranky so I usually light the fridge from the outside.
