Vintage 1971 Airstream 30ft Sovereign The Airstream International Sovereign trailers are becoming harder to find and are bringing top dollar when restored. This is the unit with the rear bathroom and a full size tub! Clear Florida Title in hand. This trailer is a perfect candidate for a restoration. We purchased this trailer almost a year ago with the intent of a total gut and restoration / build out. What we know about the trailer from the previous owner: Some of the electrical wiring has been upgraded (newer breaker panel installed). The plumbing has not been used or checked in the last 10 years (fresh water and waste). Tows well down the road (we only towed it 20 miles at 30-40mph). There was a membrane material placed on the front of the roof as a precaution (swears it wasn’t leaking). A few of the windows have been replaced with a metal covers. Most of the windows are intact but the crank and locking mechanisms will need repaired or replaced. A newer A/C unit was installed and it still works great. The stove and refrigerator have not been used, but appear intact. The floor at the entrance door was “soft” and a metal patch panel was placed over the wood. The step at the entrance door is missing, the area has some rust. The cabinetry and paneling are in fair shape. There are a few dents here and there, and a few tears in the lower panels. Most of the original exterior trim is there, not great condition. The exterior “trailer” lights do not work, the wiring at the tongue is missing all together. We towed home with a chase vehicle. Inspection in person is suggested, it’s a fixer upper! The trailer has great potential; we just don’t have the time to tackle the project right now. The trailer is for sale locally and we reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
