This Airstream is perfect for the right buyer.
If you: Want to redo an Airstream to your own specifications and design, but Don"t want to have to deal with jacking the shell off the chassis to replace the subfloor Don"t want to have to replace axles or brakes or lights Then this trailer is for you.
Most old vintage Airstreams have rot and mold. The only way to replace the rotted subfloor is to use a series of jacks to pop the top of the frame off the chassis.
It"s already done for you.
It"s also been loaded with two new 3500lb axles and electropneumatic brakes (to enable pulling by a smaller vehicle). You"ll need the brake actuator, but the brakes are ready to be connected!
These old trailers also didn"t have much blackwater/greywater capacity, so we"ve welded a second tank mount under the frame. The trailer comes with two untapped rotomolded tanks ready to be configured.
The trailer differs slightly from the recent pictures I uploaded in that I removed the internal aluminum and most of the rats-nest wiring in order to start re-insulating. There"s currently a double layer of radiant barrier. That will work for most people"s needs, but the wires have been pulled in case you want heavier insulation installed first.
The trailer comes with spare parts, emblems, tanks, 2x 100W AGM batteries, an AC distribution panel, electrical wires, a rooftop Air Conditioner, and two rooftop exhaust fans.
