For sale is a well-cared for 24", 1966, Tradewind Airstream Trailer. As a family of 5, we have used this trailer (while also working on it) for the last 10 years (1-2 trips per summer). As painful as it is to part ways with it, we"re recently moved and without adequate storage at this point. As stated, the trailer can sleep 5, but based on the model year (1966) etc., it"s not really for those over 6" tall. There"s still work to be done (primarily polishing), but below is a list of what"s been done over the last few years
This trailer has been almost completely renovated to include:
-Dexter #10, 3500LB Torflex Axles -new tires (as of August 2017)
-new 5/8" plywood decking (after confirming all framing members were sound, and and liberally coated with rust proof paint). -new, high-quality laminate flooring laid in summer of 2017 (on top of plank-style linoleum flooring we originally installed) -interior skins removed, new foam and foil bubble insulation installed. New Baltic Birch 1/8 plywood skins installed in place of the old skins. -all new pex plumbing lines and fixtures throughout the trailer (including, sink, tub with shower combo, etc.). -new black-pipe, and copper gas lines installed, along with 2 tanks and regulator. -all new ABS sewer and gray water lines and waste valves installed. -(2) 20 gallon fresh-water tanks installed and tied in series with shurflow pump (all new, never even used). -a new 37 gallon black waste tank installed under new toilet ( Dometic Sealand Traveler Lite with Hand Spray Low Profile White China RV Trailer Camper Toilet). -a new 37 gallon gray water tank installed to hold sink and shower water (completely new to the trailer as these trailers typically have a smaller, single waste tank for black and gray waste combined). -all new 12/2 wiring and receptacles throughout. -custom built cabinetry throughout, including sofa/bed with storage drawers, storage cabinets, etc. -heavy-duty, free-standing, metal pipe bunk bed with kee klamp fittings (limited adjustability to length) -replaced curved glass windows, as well as new front and rear windows. - New appliances (all within the last 5 years): Precision Temp RV 550 Tankless water heater (source of endless hot water! ) Dometic Americana RM2852 2-Way Refrigerator Double Door, 8.0 Cu. Ft. (needed it to be large enough for our family of 5 to use). Wedgewood Vision 3-Burner 21" Range. Dometic Penguin II Low Profile 13.5K BTU RV Air Conditioner (with heat strip). Fantastic vents model 4000 (2).
Included with the trailer itself will be: -Heavy duty Equal-i-zer sway control hitch -(4) heavy duty stabilizer scissor jack set Because one of the final tasks to be completed is the polishing, we"ll also include: - Cyclo dual head orbital polisher -a sufficient amount of left over Nuvite polish, with included pads, etc. -all you need to provide is the time to complete the polishing :) Finishing touches are needed, but otherwise this trailer is travel ready, and has a long happy life ahead of it. Clean title and current registration of course.
