This adorable vintage 1965 24’ Tradewind, named Silver Sophie, was built for fun and adventure! It has been fully updated by the team at Vintage Base Camp and their attention to detail shows. This 1965 Airstream has all the modern conveniences needed while the decor is a nod to it"s 1960s roots. We are Fourth Owners of this Tradewind, The middle two were from the same family, she has spent most of her life titled in the State of Kentucky. We have owned her for a little over two years and put some miles on her. She is easy to tow and still at the stock weight of 3810 and tongue weight of 430 and interior length of 20.5’. We have made several modern updates including a hidden TV above the refrigerator, we have also updated the appliances, you can also see the list below. This is your opportunity to own a piece of history. Light enough to be towed by an SUV, it sleeps 2 adults and 2 small children comfortably. This camp-ready trailer is perfect for a weekend getaway as well as a trip across the country. It has one goucho and one smaller full-size full-time bed. The front bed goucho pulls out for two children comfortably. There is plenty of counter space for cooking and ample storage space throughout the trailer. The flooring system is by Infinity Luxurious Woven Flooring. This flooring is used in some of Airstream"s high-end trailers. It is waterproof, stain-resistant, and pet-friendly. The laminate is a special design ordered from Wilsonart. The exterior, which has a few small dents and dings, was last polished in 2016. There are no leaks and it has been very well maintained. We have bought a “newer” 1975 Sovereign for our family. I have some process pictures if you would like to see them. I have also had the trailer professionally appraised by Polk and that will go with the trailer including all other original documents. This is an original trailer that has not been gutted, but has been restored and is in camp-ready condition. Please ask questions before bidding.
