Vehicle description
Hi you are looking at a totally unique vintage camper trailer what I think is a 1965 but when I bought it it had absolutely no papers so I had to guess a year to have it re-registered and tagged which was an huge ordeal so it actually could be older. Heck, It could be a 50s model and worth a lot more so I’m really just not sure. We gutted it out put new floors in build cabinets to go underneath the kitchen table that folds into a pretty comfy two sleeper bed. where the bed pads are used as the kitchen seat pads of course . And the kitchen table is the base for the bed . Restored the original cabinets above. There is a stationary twin bed that we thought of turning into bunk beds but never did however it would be a fabulous idea to sleep more!. The four of us comfortably slept in here for many trips but the kids were small so it worked otherwise it would comforably sleep 3 adults no problem. It’s been wired and freshly plumbed has a new heat pump. Brand new shower fixtures and toilet except we never actually hooked up the toilet. we just used it for number one only and it dumped straight to the ground. Ha! or you could connect to a waste line or use a waste bucket underneath. We bought this camper when we started our new family 7 years ago and had lots of wonderful vacations we even drug it all the way to Key West Florida and back from NC! It’s been to many music festivals as I am an traveling artist. we were usually the only one on the field with a camper this unique and had lots of people want to look inside and talk to us about it which was really cool! but unfortunately we have outgrown it and the four of us can no longer sleep comfortably inside so I think it’s time for a new home. it’s been used as storage for camping and guests to sleep in otherwise it’s just been sitting in the backyard in the same spot for almost 2 years :( I will probably cry when it goes off our lot but it is time to let it go so it has another fun life again! Lots of wonderful memories made in there. The camper needs a fresh new paint job for sure the first picture is after we painted it ourselves with spray paint 7 years ago. And it actually looked quite fabulous surprisingly for many years but now as you can see in the last picture it is peeling and worn out and needs to be sanded and freshly painted. Besides a couple of little areas where it has a bit of water damage from water getting in through air vents and window holes that should have been caulked! the wood on the interior is in wonderful shape. We had a lot of crazy rain and wind this winter so I think unfortunately some water got in unnoticed in places that we couldn’t see until we started really moving things around in there. Luckily there were only two spots one in a storage drawer underneath the fold out kitchen table where water came in through the window where there is a tiny opening And the other area that got damaged is above the refrigerator where it came in through a vent on the roof that needs to be recaulked. Luckily no major repairs but definitely lots of new love and care from its new owners! There are lots of little nooks and crannies for storage and a closet which is great! The cabinets are all in good shape with locking magnets. I’m thinking it would be perfect for someone who is awesome at restoring these vintage campers!
