For sale 1963 Airstream “Tradewind Land Yacht.” This “American Retro Icon”, a 24’ single axle 3,500 lb model, i s the perfect candidate for restoration into it’s original vintage unique floor plan design or a knock out “food event trailer” or craft display / sales hut or a marketing trigger for a sales promotion …or ? ? Body is not perfect but would buff out into a real show stopper…see pictures. The frame is solid. The floor needs some replacing at the door area and under the “Jealousy window” to the right of the door. The floor in the bathroom area has been replaced to receive an oversized gray water holding tank. Toilet has the original black water holding tank mounted directly under it. (note: a custom assembled dual dump valve unit is included to complete the updating project). All interior cabinetry had been removed but set back in place for intended future restoration. In it’s present condition, the cabinetry, is only usable as patterns for reproducing. Two roof vents are missing but included are two original units plus extra parts. The long vent/sky light is missing but temporally covered. Stripping process of interior 3/4 completed.(see pics.) Front and rear windows and Jealousy window are glass, the others are plastic substitutes. The 4 burner stove/ oven unit and matching microwave in the pictures are not original but were/ are intended for installation to update kitchen. Originally a propane/ DC refrigerator was installed to the left of the door but it is missing. New owner can choose between original wheel/rims with hub cap clips (regular tire mount style) or “split rim” (original design also). allows for tire to be removed without a “tire shop/ machine”… Tires in pictures are on the split rims and are quite weather cracked. The other rims referred to above have tires on them but will not hold air and must be replaced for towing. Original wiring design has both 12 volt DC and 110 volt ac for lighting within same fixtures (see pics). Elec. Sys breaker/ panel design needs updating. Overhead fixtures in pics are updated but original fixtures are included. Originally, a ducted (within the floor) propane fired, DC, forced air furnace was installed. All above floor ducting connecting pcs are included but furnace is missing.
