1958 Shasta Deluxe, 19-foot travel trailer, Very restorable vintage travel trailer.
From what I know, I am the second or possibly third owner of this trailer, and I brought it home to keep it from being scrapped. It was parked on property owned by the previous owners, and not moved since 1974. It has some definite issues but is not to a point of no return. As much as I would love to see it restored and running on the road again, I have not got the resources to make it happen. Here is what I know. .
No wings, none available.
Much of the cabinetry is there but is missing doors and a couple drawers. The bathroom door is also missing. The frame of the screen door is there and in good enough shape to use it as a template for building a new one. The Bargman door handle functions as it should but has no keys.
The seat cushions for the dinette are missing but the bottom frames from the originals are present. No bed cushions are present for the pullout gaucho.
It is missing the appliances, stove and refrigerator. It does have a Vaillant water heater in it, condition unknown. Light fixtures are present, including the gas lamp above the dinette table.
Onboard water holding tank has been removed form under the dinette bench. The sink and faucet are intact, marine toilet and shower fixtures are present, but all are also untested. The waste holding tank and outlet system is in need of replacement, was originally metal and is rusted through.
There is a set of weight-distribution bars and locks, and the wheel for the jack is with it. It also has the original rims on it, and what are probably 40+-year old tires mounted. It also has the spare rim with probably the original 1958 tire mounted. All hold air but are rotted, do not plan on towing it on them. The rims are painted to match the body color.
I don"t know much more about it, Anything else I can add is all conjecture and patchwork guessing.
There is NO PAPERWORK OR TITLE with it. Be sure of your state"s requirements. I can offer a bill of sale only as receipt for payment.
