“Unrestored, very original, useable as-is but would be a great candidate for a restoration. After we bought this trailer we did the necessary mechanical repairs, new radial 8 ply tires, replaced one wheel bearing- cleaned and re-packed the rest, cleaned and adjusted brakes. re-wired 12volt lights and brakes, new NOS Grote marker lights as original, 7 pin trailer connector, re-wired and added grounded 3prong 110 sockets. Re-plumbed propane lines, added new tanks, regulators and rack. Cleaned and repaired cook stove. We replaced the outside door handles with new keyed alike handles that look close to the originals and work with the original inside latches. New custom made mattress for bed. We found a period correct click-clack couch that is in outstanding original condition, looks and works great, has blanket storage etc. Although we intended to do a full restoration, we camped and took her to rallies as is, very comfortable and popular with visitors.”

Vehicle description

263627798106 As mentioned above this trailer is a great candidate for a full restoration. The condition besides that listed above: all original windows present and functional- (one has a crack), original fridge works well, DuoTherm heater and thermostat in place.(not connected to fuel at present). The original sliding screen doors are in place and function, although could use a "tune-up". Has a sliding bedroom door for privacy. Note the unique interior style with art-deco lighting and round/round-top mirrors. The outside has the classic Vagabond-man badges and stainless-steel side trim. Full awning rail. These trailers have a trunk in the rear-see pictures, carried all the gear and the spare tire! These old trailers did not come with a bath-room, there are three closets though, and one could be co-oped for a commode. The bad; the exterior paint is old and ugly. the linoleum was very cool, but has some bad places especially around front door and front of couch-we covered it with a throw rug for our temporary use. There is some old water damage in a couple places, most could be refinished or you could replace. one spot in the kitchen will need some repair to the wood structural support behind/above the cabinet. We"ve had this trailer about 5 years or so and it has not leaked, apparently the leaks were old and repaired years ago. The trailer is titled as a 1948 Vagabond, clear Oregon title in my name. The trailer is ready to roll, 7 pin trailer connector. The trailer weighs in the 4300lb range with a tongue weight listed as 600lbs, so make sure your tow vehicle will handle it. The trailer brakes work very well and they are necessary. I would consider delivering in Oregon or parts of Nor-Cal for a price we agreed on.
