Vehicle description
MGA Mark-2. partially restored., But you get a COMPLETE CAR (less running about looking for parts or trying to figure out where something goes. minimizes parts chasing. Mark-2 was the last of the graceful body style and had: unique tailights/ badging/ 1622-CC motor but it shared most of its components with the 1959 to 1961cars. It was followed into the US market by the squarish MGB with 1800-CC engines. The later engines from the "B":would fit into the "A" cars rather easily . drop me a note-question. ?
deposit is $ 500. via paypal Nonrefundable., within 48 hours of auction close.
BODY in very good shape xcept for the Drivers side frt fender. I counted 14 small dings in the fender, given the cost of bodywork I chose to buy a replacement fender in xcellent condition., comes with the car. in primer. hood-trunk-doors in very good shape.
ENGINE BAY; as nice as the trunk and in the same colors.
CURTAINS-POCKETS: SIDE CURTAINS : in pretty good shape, tonneau only good for a pattern, window pockets are in good shape. sliders are also good.
ENGINE: correct Mk-2 complete engine =1622-cc with starter/ generator/ dist/ water pump/ SU carkb/TRANNY: 4-speed with driveshaft.
TIRES AND WIRES are not-bad to shabby.
So you could get a later MGB comlete driveline and fit it in fairily easy (see U-tube info). OR you could rebuild the 1622 and keep it original. Restored/original MGA Mark-2 seem to be going for 22 to 34 thousand on Ebay so the value is there
