Vehicle description
This is not your ordinary 1958 MGA. It has some upgrades. The engine is a 1600 that has had new rings, rod bearings, and a valve job. The car also is equipped with a 3.9 MGB rear end for highway driving. The brakes sport front disc brakes that are more desirable. There is also an LL, Less Leston steering wheel installed in the car. The body has had new inner and outer rockers welded in, and has had any rust removed and repaired. The car is painted in a soft pastel green, which matches closely to an original 1950s green. Paint and finish are a Dupont, base coat clear coat product. Interior is a very nice Black with white piping vinyl. There is new black carpeting, and new rubber floor mats. The brakes had the rear wheel cylinders replaced, and the front calipers were rebuilt. New rotors were also installed. A new master cylinder, shoes, and pads round out the brakes. New front dampers,( shocks) are from World Wide. The car rides on new tires mounted on painted wire wheels I am selling this car because I have several MGAs and have decided to put this one out there for someone else to enjoy. Part of the enjoyment and satisfaction of doing a restoration on these cars is to see them back on the road and enjoyed. I have a passion for these cars and have been involved with restoring them for years. I have put a couple of hundred miles on the car to test it out, and all seems right with it except the fuel gauge which is not functioning properly. I find that if you reset the trip odometer when you fuel up, you know you have 200 miles on the tank. I have found that to be more dependable than trusting the stock fuel gauge. This MGA comes with a top, tonneau, jack, and spare. Wiring, front and rear bumpers, knock offs, and grille are new. Please look at the photos and ask any questions you may have about the car. I will answer them honestly, and in a timely way. I want to see this car go to a good home.
