Vehicle description
Less than 3,000 of these were made in Canada. Own a unique piece of automotive history! This is the 1974 model with the sought after 360 AMC V8 engine. Most of the running gear and suspension was sourced from AMC so parts are still easy to get. There are plenty of parts available right here on as well. It won"t take much to make a driver out of her, but she"s probably best suited for a restoration. Clean title in hand. The good: the car runs and drives with the help of a portable battery jumper (more on this later), body panels are all in good shape aside from typical small cracks in the acrylic, no major dents, frame appears to be in good shape, glass is in good shape, interior is good except tear on passenger seat cover. There are some new parts on the vehicle including some of the carpeting, some tune up parts, and all 4 tires. The bad: the alternator will not charge under 1,800 rpm"s. You will need to replace the battery, voltage regulator, and alternator in order for the engine to run on its own. We believe the engine has a bad choke as well, as it doesn"t like to idle when cold. The doors have been converted from hydraulic to pneumatic and were working a few months ago but will no longer function. The headlights will also not pop up. The previous owner removed the troublesome door latch strikers so you"ll have to get replacements. The hood hinges and driver door hinges require attention as they wobble when operated. The rear hatch has the typical Bricklin water leak so we"ve kept it covered with a tarp. The car has an overall rough appearance to it. Please understand that this car NEEDS WORK. You WILL NOT be able to drive it home. You WILL NOT be able to sink $100 into it and take it to your local Cars and Coffee. This car needs AT LEAST several hundred dollars worth of work just to be able to start and run on its own. . and that"s just the beginning. If you bid, please be aware of what you"re getting into. This car is not anywhere near road ready. That being said, we"re GUESSING that a few thousand dollars would be enough to get her on the road, especially if you do the labour yourself.Car is located in Chesapeake, VA. Please contact me if you would like to see the car prior to the auction end and I will try to accommodate you. Deposit required within 24 hours of auction end, remainder due in 7 days. I"ll take a cashiers check, cash, or PayPal. Car is sold as-is, where it is. You are required to arrange transportation of the vehicle from where it sits.
