Vehicle description
Vehicle Details BETTER THAN NEW! This is a gorgeous car in every way. It has all the goodies, like Competition pkg (why would you buy one without this package?), Executive pkg, B&O sound and so much more (see pic of original window sticker). The reason this car is BETTER THAN NEW is because I purchased this beauty in Florida with a blown motor (it had spun two crank shaft bearings), this has been the weak spot for the S63TU 4.4L for quite awhile, just read any Bimmer forum to find that out. I then shipped the car to RK Autowerks in Dallas/Fortworth Texas to remove and install completely refurbished Long Block with all the BMW troubled weak spots fixed and made stronger than original engine when new from factory, ie, Oil pump rebuilt and improved, stronger crank bearings etc, so much to list. The reason i sent to RK Autowerks is because they are among the best at what they do and BMW is all they do. Here is a link to there website. www.rkautowerks.com. I have included a picture of the receipt for $14500, not including shipping cost. I, like you, want the best (why else would you be looking at an M5? ))), so I had the best do the job. The car now has 2k on the motor (and rising as I love driving it) but I baby it and at 1k miles changed the oil at local BMW dealer (Minnesota where car is now) and also had them inspect motor and drivetrain for any type of leaks and of course the report as stellar, I have copy of this receipt. The car/motor has been operating flawlessly and as advertised. I should also note, that I opted for STOCK REBUILD, not forged or tuned. Stock is more than enough to bring a smile to my face every single time i drive this ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE and plus I feel it is better for resale as it is clear what one is getting, a BETTER THAN ORIGINAL M5. Realistically, this car is worth $36 to $38K retail with a 60k mile time bomb motor, why would you not pay a little bit more for a 2k mile, fully documented new longblock with new, sparkplugs, fuel injectors and coils on top of all the other itemized items in refurbishment. So there is the story about the motor, but the overall car is also amazing. There are some things to note as there is on any 60k mile car, the rock chip specks on front and a couple on hood and of course black shows everything, but it is nothing that distracts from overall amazing condition of exterior. A couple of curb rashes that are not horrific, but are present. I can fix these things, but price will not get any cheaper, but will increase. Those are items, I felt the next buyer could do or not do, they just don't bother me. Trust me when I say that everyone (at least the folks that appreciate a beautiful, and frankly BAD #*#$ car) will stop and take a 2nd look, happens everytime I take her out, everytime. I am just trying to make this as good as a deal as I can for the buyer and then he/she can go from there. Another item is the rear spoiler has a hairline crack, my guess is that auto carwash got ahold of edge and broke and prior owner adhered back into place. You might not of even noticed had I not just told you and certainly no one else will either. $350ish for new one, part only, but again, it doesnt bother me so. . In my opinion the interior is a 9.75 out of ten in condition, i would have said 10 but you might not believe me and I am sure there is a scratch or something somewhere, i just haven't found it. The Merino leather $3500 option, most others for sale are not real leather, is so soft and very comfortable! Lastly, the M5's imparticular, have a rattle sound that is present at idle and immediately goes away when DCT (dual clutch transmission) is engaged, I have personally heard this on others M's, even on non F10's, it is the darndest thing. There are several theories, but no one seems to know for sure. It is a bit of a mystery as to the why some and not others, etc. RK Autowerks said that replacing the flywheel "may solve" but again that would cost a bit of change to do and it does not cause any damage or loss of performance. RK said "to their knowledge this rattle has not led to other problems or damage" and they have seen a lot of them. Unfortunately, you don't know if rattle is present until you have it all put back together and running. I have attached one of many blogs on this mystery https:/ f10.m5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1563963, again, It just doesnt bother me, certainly not enough to spend the doe to fix by dropping tranny and putting a new fly wheel in and still no absolute guarantee that it wont rattle the first time you crank her up or after 3 years, so why do it? But I wanted you to know (most likely you are aware of this rattle if you have been around M5's) so that you didnt think i was trying to hide some kind of problem (not my style, but i get it) this is a big investment and I want you to know and be THRILLED at what a amazing car this is even with its little, minor imperfections. TRUST ME WHEN YOU CRANK HER UP AND DRIVE FOR 2 SECONDS YOU WILL KNOW THIS CAR IS ALL THERE AND FOR REAL! If you are interested please don't hesitate to ask me and I will try to answer or take more pictures or video, whatever i can do to help you fall in love with this incredible machine. Even better come and visit and see this beauty for yourself, air tickets are very cheap right now, I flew my daughter and I to Dallas for $79 a piece to drive car home, what a blast that was (ALSO WHERE A BIT OF 1K MILES CAME FROM) Thanks for looking folks (if you read all of this you must be interested and probably should just click the buy now b4 someone else does. :)) Best Regards James Images Download the Motors app
