“This is a California car and resided there until 2018. Garage kept and never driven in the winter. No rust/corrosion. Interior is in excellent condition. Leather has been regularly conditioned and shows well. Windshield and front bumper/hood/spoiler show some small/light chips if you look very close, commensurate with vehicle age. Rear doors have gotten a couple of small dings at some point, which were repaired with paintless dent removal, but slight imperfections can still can be seen when viewed at certain angles. This would require a touch up at a body shop, if you want the exterior to be perfect. Wheels are near perfect, with no signs of curb rash. This M5 is beautiful and should be seen in person!”

Vehicle description

2006 BMW E60 M5 with S85 V10, 500HP, 7-Speed SMG Transmission
I bought this M5 in June, 2018. At the time, it had 67,378 miles. As sits today, there are 78,741 miles on the odometer. I am the fourth owner and have enjoyed the car immensely. It is extremely well equipped, with upgraded executive leather interior, heated/cooled seats, navigation, sunroof, al cantera headliner, and a few upgrades (interior/exterior lighting, springs, spacers, blacked out grills/emblems, painted calipers, brake pads).
Maintenance completed since I purchased the car:
New front wheel bearings installed and front spacers removed. (They still go with the car, if new owner would like to re-install.) Car alignment was adjusted at the same time. Oil has been changed twice and tested perfectly with Blackstone oil analysis. (I can provide the report.) I used ultra-high quality Liqui Moly oil. Note: This car has never needed to have oil added between changes. All spark plugs and air cleaners were changed last summer. Windshield wiper relay was replaced (I have spare relays for SMG and transmission.) Battery and Alternator were replaced last summer, with new pulleys and serpentine belt. This is a California car and lived there for the first 12 years of its life. This M5 has been garage-kept and never been driven in the winter.
Interior is 9/10. Leather has been regularly conditioned and it is in great shape. Carpet is very good. Alcantara headliner is in great shape. There is a small scratch on one of the aluminum dash trim pieces and on the passenger side sill trim. (Both pieces could easily be replaced to make the interior perfect.) If you look very closely, there are some very small/light rock chips on the front paint and windshield, commensurate with vehicles age. The rear drivers side door has a ding that was mostly repaired and barely visible, but would need a little work to make it perfect.
Brake rotors and pads look almost like new. All four wheels are perfect. Everything works, including XM radio, parking sensors, HUD, Bluetooth, and factory navigation. The car runs perfect and the SMG transmission shifts well.
No work has been done to engine bearings nor throttle bodies. (Not needed.) Clutch is original and likely will need some work in the next 10K miles +/-, though it does shift fine. SMG pump works well, but the motor may need to be serviced in the next couple of years, as is common with a vehicle of this age. These are normal maintenance items for this car, if you"ve done some research. They"re working fine, so I"d expect possibly a year or two of use before they"ll be due for service. . depending on how you drive.
I’m not aware of any accident history for this M5. Title is clean and I have the CarFax report from summer 2018. The car is excellently preserved, rust and corrosion free. A very good example of a German V10 super saloon and it drives amazing. It is a perfect vehicle for a person who wants extreme performance and handling, with a touch of practicality. Also, these E60 M5"s do need some attention and upkeep from time-to-time, but they are well worth the effort.
The previous two owners are members of the M5 Board website. Mature adults who took meticulous care of the vehicle. It hasn’t been thrashed nor raced. It does have “launch control”, though I’ve never used it.
Below, please find a full description from the previous owner, mentioning more details about upgrades:
History - (From JustChill on M5 Board)
First owner was a corporate lease (I know who she was because she was still paying for the the XM radio when I received the car). First owner sold at 19K Mi. The second owner was a fellow board member who took great care and performed perfect maintenance. He sold the car to me at 46K Mi. The car now has 67,300 miles and I have have also meticulously maintained the car. I regularly detail the car and have had a few paint corrections performed during my ownership. There are the regular rock chips on the front bumper and a couple on the hood however much fewer than most 2006 models. The front bumper had a fresh professional repaint just before I received the car. It looked perfect! The oil had been changed every 6K miles religiously by the former owner and myself.
Features -
This car is loaded. Literally the only feature it does not have is soft close doors and I don"t even know if those were offered in 06.
-heated / cooled seats
-heated rear seats
-rear fold down seats
-ski pass through w/ BMW ski bag (winter package)
-auto rear sunshade / manual rear side shades
-active side boasters
-cd changer (deleted for Bluetooth adapter *but included)
-XM radio
-comfort access
-adaptive headlights
Extras -
The car currently sits on H&R lowering springs and H&R 10mm spacers in the rear, which is kind of a standard for improving stance/appearance. (Front spacers are included, but not currently installed.) This retains the EDC suspension adjustment control. The car also has LED side marker lights an LED interior light conversion and MTec LED angel eyes. I have also installed Carbo Tech carbon ceramic pads at all 4 discs as they stop better and cut down on brake dust by 70%.
The original/OEM springs are included. Also, everything that came with the car is still intact: 2 keys, all manuals booklets, logs etc, tool kit in trunk and ski bag.
