I"m the second owner and only driver of this M5. I"ve owned it since January of 2005. She runs excellent. Not just okay; not just great; I said EXCELLENT! I can"t stress it enough.
The M5 comes with a rebuilt title even though the car was never in an accident. That is how I purchased it back in 2005. It was considered flooded in Texas - where there is no salt water. So I took a chance, bid on the car at a dealers auction, and won it. My purchase paid off because the M5 had no issues upon delivery. I repeat - ZERO problems. It ran beautifully and the body was excellent.
So I kept the car for 15 years.
Car has always been well maintained. Mostly a weekend car. The body is in solid condition with minor normal wear giving its age. The seats are firm and have no tears. The rims are great. Clutch is perfect. No leaks - not one drop. I did major work into it (including the big one - Vanos) back in 2017.
I have all service records to prove it.
Below is a list of modifications I"ve made:
1) Upgraded headlights with OEM angel eye headlights; 2) Removed the resonator and original exhaust and replaced them with magnaflow mufflers; 3) I upgraded the OEM screen to reflect later models; 4) Painted the interior trim titanium silver; 5) Upgraded windshield with OEM Climate Comfort Windshield 6) Installed a UUC short shifter.
