Really fun start to a solid rabbit truck 1.6 diesel 5 speed. In short the tan truck shell came to me in trade. The radiator support and passenger fender had a big dent, not from an accident on the road, it got ran into on the lot and it was to bent to put in all the body work. I had a clean parts car that was obviously blue so I welded them together so it was all super straight again. Absolutely no structural damage to the body or frame of the original truck. All welding was done in front of the motor mounts so NOTHING has been compromised from the original body and hardware.
I will post more photos soon, it is taking forever to load. . but you get the idea of what your getting.
Motor was also in the blue car. Had 162,000 miles on it and ran excellent, but it was a 4 door and nobody wants them so it all got swapped into the truck. Motor has new timing belt and alt belt and runs excellent. Everything is perfectly timed. Technically you can drive it down the street but you can see that it needs an interior. Body is pretty well rust free as it has been in CO for a good long while just sitting in the back of the lot.
If you don"t want the sweet ladder rack and mad max bumper I can remove them. I have an extra clean original bumper. I do have just about all the parts to complete the truck but they are not included in the auction price. I have a crack free dash and tailgate, they do not match but really this truck should get paint anyways.
You are buying a truck that mechanically is done, just needs and interior and wiring. I buy and build A LOT of VW diesel trucks, if you have questions let me know. The truck is for sale locally for $1800. Please do not bid if you do not have the money or the means to pick it up. I have a truck and trailer and can deliver within about 2 hours of denver if the auction price is worth my time. Reserve is $1300 auction is 5 days.
