Vehicle description
Vehicle Details This 1972 MG Midget is in need of a new owner. I am having to move and significantly downsize.I have owned it for 5 years - I bought it locally. The owner I bought it from had the engine rebuilt and made significant restorations before I bought it from him. It has 38,000 miles on it but the gauge no longer works. I am not that knowledgable on car lingo but ask me any questions and I will try to answer as best I can. It is a manual 4-speed.It was my daily driver ( I only lived 2 miles from my job) for about a year. It runs great! It starts immediately and is super fun to drive. Definitely a head turner! The AM/FM is original and still works!Updates/repairs I have made in the last 5 years:-new hydraulic brake lines-new brakes-new bonnet latch-new emergency brake-readjusted carbs-new alternator-new hazard light switch and electrical wiring-new fuel tank-new choke cableThings that are not functional/all problems I am aware of:-Trunk is a little bent-could use new paint-Top has a hard time closing unless it is very warm out (The material requires getting warmed up in order to stretch - hey it was the 70s!)-There are a couple of rips in the top. Honestly, its been garaged so that wasn't really a concern.-one side mirror is missing but honestly the side mirrors are useless anyway!-shocks will need replacement at some point. Its not really necessary so I haven't bothered to do it.-Ignition key gets a little sticky - I use graphite spray for this.-Interior floorboard mat tents to want to roll up. Nothing some tape can't fix.-Driver side visor likes to fall down - all it needs is the little rubber piece it fits into to be replaced. I just haven't bothered.-A couple of gauges don't work but the FUEL and MILEAGE do.The tonneau cover does work but a few of the buttons need repair. I'll assist at this end to ship it wherever it needs to go. I love this car so much! I'll be sad to see it go but happy for it to find a great next owner! Images Download the Motors app
