Vehicle description
1972 Buick Electra 225, 2 door. Power windows, power steering ,power brakes , trunk release in glove box. 82,000 miles. 455 engine (that is over 7.4 liters) 400 transmission, disc brakes in the front. I believe the mileage and paint to be original, no rust. A/C and heat work like they should, drives straight and true, very little to no wind noise, all the switches are crisp. You can drive this with your little finger and your big toe, it"s like driving your couch down the road. Car is sorted and tuned, could be used for a daily driver. No water leaks, trunk is dry as a bone.
I own an auto repair and restoration shop, this car is from my personal collection. One of the best 2 door C bodies I have ever seen. The wheels are from the same era Riviera, I have the original hub caps and they go with the car. READ THIS PART. . I installed a giant stereo a few years ago , good stuff 2400+ watts sounds amazing. THE CAR WAS NOT MOLESTED FOR THE STEREO! !. I drilled one 3/8 hole in the trunk floor for grounds and used a hole in the firewall already there from an old CB install for the power cable to the amps. All other components were installed using factory mounts. Alternator was upgraded,no brackets were altered and original alternator will go right back on.
Things to be aware of. . Leaves a few drops of oil or transmission fluid when it sits. The driver door panel is split where you push to open the door, see pictures. Dash pad is perfect. The seat is starting to split at the seam,I have a sample of material from SMS to match repair , see pictures. The head liner is coming apart at the seam in one spot. There are a few small dings and scratches on the 49 year old paint. The clock works intermittently and the speed buzzer does not work. Overall an awesome and fun car.
Pre-purchase inspection is welcomed and encouraged, lift is available. I have sold cars to people all over the world . It can sit a week or two while you arrange shipping.
