I do restoration work on classic cars and I do a lot of horse trading. This 1971 MG Midget recently came to me as a partial trade for some work. As i have a full yard of work I am passing it on to someone who is looking for a great light or first time restoration project. This would be ideal as a father and son project or a weekend toy to play with. This is a 1971 MG Midget. It runs and drives, the brakes work and so does the clutch. That being said it has sat for approximately 17 years (according to the sticker on the plate) so all the above mentioned systems will need to be gone through or at least inspected and serviced (fuel lines replaced fluids flushed etc). Minor rust bubbles at the base of the a pillar and some small holes under the carpet and battery but over all a pretty solid car. It is currently white but appears to have been red at some point . Tires are old and cracked but hold air. I have the top frame but will need new cloth. The lights work and so does the horn, but the tach doesnt and the console is just sitting in place. Car needs an interior restoration, the dash is in great shape, seats need some repair (not bolted in but tracks are included) carpet and panels are poor. I have a clean title signed by the previous owner. Its been off the road long enough to fall out of the system. There is a box of extra parts in the trunk.
