Vehicle description
1971 1210 International 4x4 pickup for sale! Just in from dry western Colorado.
It features a 304 V8, power steering, manual 4 speed transmission, rugged NP 205 transfercase, 410 gears, and very little rust. Comes with a clean Colorado title, it was pulled out of a junkyard where the license plates show 2009. I had the front tank boiled out, replaced the fuel lines, fuel pump, and put a newer Holley carburetor on it. It starts right up, no knocks or smoke, runs like a champ! I also put a set of used tires on it as the others were dry rotted from sitting. It runs down the road straight and stops smoothly with no jerks or pulls. Overall a very nice clean old truck. Tailgate is rusty like most, but the important areas (cab corners, over the windsheild and cowl) have zero rust. The flat part of the foorboards are going to need some attention and some here and there, but the bed is nearly perfect with no rust thru and has not been beaten up. Probably had a camper in the bed at one time would be my guess. The passenger side inner fender is starting to show the need for repair, but run it as is or Super Scout Specialists have a patch available for that area. It also is a 10 footer paint job (he probably painted in his driveway) and features a 1970 grill.
I own and have owned many of these trucks, and this one is one of the best that I have seen in years. I would probably keep it but you can"t keep them all and it should go to a fan of IH and someone who understands the old iron and the tinkering that comes with an old truck. Ive been driving it and using like a truck the last few days with no glitches and keeps running and driving better each time.
I can help arrange shipping, and of course, due to the my current work situation we are not planning on going anywhere. The truck is right outside of the Nashville metro area, come look at it and drive in person.
I have tried to represent this truck honestly and completely, if you have any questions or need pics of a specific area hit me up and I will get right back to you.
