Vehicle description

For sale is a 1970 Datsun 240z. This is a series one with a relatively low VIN number (it is car #4526). This is matching numbers. It has the original motor that was built with the car. The motor turns over but I didn"t attempt to get it running just cranked it to make sure it turned free. Equip with what is assumed to be the original 4 speed transmission. The body is mostly solid. It has some rust, mainly along the seam of the frame rail on the driver"s floorboard, the rest is solid. The battery tray and rear hatch seal are common rust prone areas on these cars, but it is solid with no issues. This car has A/C available as an aftermarket dealer installed option back then. Only missing glass is the windshield. I called around and there less than $200 aftermarket new replacement at most auto glass services. Has original series one vertical defroster lines hatch glass. What you see is what you get. Rolls freely for easy loading on a trailer. Great start for an affordable series one project. No Reserve Bid to Own!

I will help the winning bidder with getting the best price for shipping. I will store the car for up to 90 days free of charge to give the winning bidder time to arrange pick up or shipping.
This car does not have a title in hand. I started the California DMV transfer but it is waiting on a California highway patrol VIN verification. The last appointment I had I waited 45 days for and the officer was not available on that day and now I don"t know if they are even doing inspections currently. It will be sold with the DMV registration along with a DMV bill of sale to the new buyer. In California it is easy to complete that transfer. Some other states may require other forms. If anything is needed, the buyer can mail me documents to fill out and I will send back. It is currently on Non-operation Status with California DMV so no registration fees due.
$500 Deposit due within 24 hours of auctions end. Full payment due within 7 days of auctions end. I will accept most methods of payment but will not release the car until the payment has been received and cleared.
