See my feedback, buy with confidence! Offered is this beautiful 1965 Pontiac Tempest Wagon which is a careful melding of hot rod and restomod. A professionally high end prep, paint and finish product in deep light blue metallic base/clear is applied over spectacularly straight CA sheet metal with gorgeous chrome parts. A set of authentic black CA plates go with car as well as the 65 GA authentic tag. Black interior, refurbished as new, OG mats, new carpet BUT with Cadillac contoured leather power seats, seat belts, tilt wheel with OG GTO sim wood wheel and soft PMD button, GTO factory in dash tach, factory grab handle, modern stereo with usb/bluetooth, cold Vintage Air and tinted glass, GTO console, rear seat upholstered to match the Cadillac fronts, new rugs, headliner and trim. 3 gauge cluster, inconspicuously mounted, keeps you informed. Under the GTO hood with scoop, the engine is the og 326 rebuilt with less than 3K miles on the total build. .030 over, rollers, forged mild cv hydraulic cam, factory chrome covers and air cleaner, Edelbrock manifold for flow, new 4v carb, new everything, stock exhaust manifolds flow into a custom built chambered exhaust with GTO tips. Awesome deep and mellow sound, crisp, but not noisy as cheaper setups. Veryrrrry smooth and clean! All the new engine parts fly through an 11” clutch to a fresh later model Borg-Warner 5 speed with white ball Hurst shifter. It lands with a 2:73 GTO auto ratio for freeway flying! ! Factory front and real sway bars, new shocks, correct 6” wagon wheels with high end radials keep it straight and true. Poverty caps really set off the perfect OG painted steels. Yes, factory OG make GM power front disc brakes and all new rear drums stop it. Power steering makes it no effort to drive. New spare matching radial tire & factory painted wheel to match in clean rear well with jack and iron. The gaps on this car are phenomenal. OG roof rack is a great touch seldom seen on but has some minor pitting and fade. ALL Trim lines up perfectly. Everything WORKS! This is almost certainly one of the cleanest, best-conditioned Pontiac tempest wagons for sale in the USA. When is the last time you saw one? This vehicle grabs the attention of all that see it, it shows great against all the competition new and old cars alike, and is usually the first one that people walk up to and look at. Please do your homework concerning this vehicles history and most importantly it pricing. You certainly can’t build it to the high quality it is for the money asked; someone is going to get an absolute bargain here! This is a 56 year old car, not a brand new car. It draws attention even when I drive it to Kroger (yep, use it as a Grocery Getter. . dedicated to the old fans of the Pontiac Wagons at the drags); and at events it simply swarmed over. Although it is in superb condition for the miles and age, please remember it is still a used car, not new like perfection. Has a few inconspicuous blems, minor detailing & tinkering & polishing things to do, not much though. .but. .make no mistake, I"m confident you can show it just as it is and win! It is exceptional and waaaay better than what’s found mostly today.
