Vehicle description
I have had a lot of questions about shipping overseas. After some consideration, I will not sell the car outside of the contiguous 48 states in the United States.
You are bidding on a 1968 Pontiac Tempest daily driver. It is 99% Original condition. The Vin number is 235278Z120373. When I found the car it had been sitting for about 7 or 8 years. I immediately had it gone over by a mechanic to get it road worthy. New plugs ,battery, wires, distributor, filters, fuel Pump, water Pump, belts, nuetral safety switch. Radiator was flushed and new fluids all the way around. Brakes were also gone over and I believe master cylinders also replaced. I replaced the original 14" steel rims with 15" OEM rally 2 rims and new cooper white walls. I also have a set of reproduction center caps for the rally wheels still in packaging. The exhaust was shot so I had the exhaust re done and turned into dual exhaust with a very moderate cherry bomb set up. I kept the stock wheels as well as the water pump and safety switch that was replaced. I also have a set of new rear springs that I have not had a chance to Install yet that go with it. I picked this up last Spring I and drove it around the 2nd half of the year. The only thing I need for inspection yet is some rot around the trunk pan plugs fixed and the radiator support needs replaced ,but the car is running/drivable and sounds great. This was a one family car / 2 owner when I bought it. It has 32000 original miles and over all is a very solid car and great candidate for restoration or cross over to a Judge clone. Turn is only a couple of spots rotted through that I see -one being where the radiator support connects to the lower valence front driver side, trunk plugs and a little bit under the driver door by the Chrome 350 trim. It"s all surface rust visible on the hood and roof from the cover that was on it. The interior is good enough for a daily driver, but has a little bit of that old sit around mousey smell to it. Top half of the carburetor was also rebuilt but I was tweaking it all summer and couldn"t seem to get it quite right. I love this car, but need the money to start working on the next project so I hope somebody gives it a good home. Thanks for checking out my auction and feel free to message me with any questions!
