Vehicle description
Pontiac Tempest 6 cyl 2 dr post. This car has the cleanest body I"ve seen in quite a while. Odometer shows 65,000 not sure if that"s correct but as clean as the body is I"m thinking maybe it is. It does have some rust but not much. My plans were to turn it into a daily driver or perhaps a GTO clone but due to a back injury I"m not able to work on the car as I would like. You"re welcome to come look in person before you commit to buy. It runs pretty good, carburetor was crap so I found a new one, it"s not quite right but it works pretty good.
Drive it up onto your trailer or you could probably drive it home. Previous owners were an elderly lady who bought it new then her son got it who"s now 80. He"s like me, was going to work on the car but health issues ended that idea. I"m 77 just haven"t lost my passion for these Pontiac"s yet. I have 4 others a GTO Bonneville LeMans and another Tempest so it"s not like I will be going without if this car sells. Steve 801-8-999-GTO.
Payment only accepted in cash or by Bank Wire Transfer.
I have a fairly good GTO hood I"ll include in the deal if the car meets reserve.

I can see a slight indication of rust showing through from back side in the lower rear portion of left front fender. Not a big nasty hole like you usually see on these cars even out in Utah a fairly dry state.
I"ve been fixing things on the car as my back will allow, I was able to swap carburetors but getting under the car isn"t working for me right now. I took it for a drive yesterday I"ve been wondering why it was so smooth at lower speeds. The transmission won"t shift out of low until about 60 MPH I"m guessing a problem with vacuum modulator or a bad or missing vacuum hose. I can"t get under the car to look so unless I can get it up on a lift again I can"t say much about what that problem may be. Low isn"t that low anyway at lower speeds it"s hard to tell. I"m thinking most people will be swapping out that 6 cyl for a V8 anyway.
