Vehicle description
This model was Motor Trend Magazine"s 1964 car of the year for advanced engineering and design. This automobile was designed and built at the height of AMC"s success. Features this car has were not normally seen for another 20 years. Extensive restoration . Not a show car, but it is a really nice driver. Look at pics. I won"t do anything unless I can do it really well. Most of the car has been apart and reconditioned. Rebuilt Transmission and drive train, new carb, re-cored radiator, freeze plugs pulled and checked for blockages, much of interior trim repainted and upholstery repaired, seats re-padded. Have spent nearly $13,000 in parts and repair work. This does not include the years of doing most of the work myself. It was never about the money and know I will take a loss. We want someone who will take care of and enjoy "Rambie" as much as we have. Features: Factory 4 wheel independent suspension, w/ horizontal stabilizers & anti sway bars. Unibody construction, fully carpeted trunk, even a fully restored spare tire and jack assembly. Factory radio converted to AM/FM stereo. All speakers hidden to maintain factory appearance. Factory Options: 770 trim package, Factory AC (NOS), Power steering, Optional wheel covers, Locking Gas Cap, Optional Interior & trunk lighting, Reclining split front seats Original Owners & Options Manuals in glove compartment. Also operator’s manual for AM/FM stereo upgrade. Original Factory Service Manual included. Two owner originally sold in Fresno. Current owner has had it since 1985. Runs great! Would drive it anywhere. We already have 3 classics and are in our early 70"s. Time to let some things go. The fun has been working on a car with great memories attached. STOCK, MATCHING NUMBERS
