Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1981 American Motors Eagle is an original with updates to the exterior, interior and drivetrain. The owner has had it for 2 years. The vehicle runs great and is used as a daily driver. Seller"s Notes I had this built for my wife so mechanically it is in top condition as is the cosmetic parts. It has been driven very little and has less than 500 miles on everything. Including the engine. Vehicle Details My wife fell in love with this little car and had to have it. We purchased it in 2019 and had a local shop start restoring it. Then when it was completed a couple weeks ago and she started driving she doesn’t enjoy it. She says it’s a lot easier to replace a minivan than a 40 year old vehicle and she thinks the car is to nice to daily drive it . The following is a list of most of the new parts I’m sure we’ll forget a few. The Good New engine (per previous owner) New steering sway bar links New brakes all the way around New calipers New brake hoses New brake lines New fuel pump New fuel lines New fuel tank New sending unit New rear wheel cylinders New tires (4) New exhaust New catalytic converter New power steering pump New paint (OEM COLORS) New top All new interior New carpet New headliner New belt trim Front end alignment Transfer case flushed Rear differential flushed Front diff checked New speakers The Bad I have the OE trim for the fenders but the local shop couldn’t find the correct fasteners so I had them put some trim around the fenders until we found the clips. I’m currently trying to find new window swipes and seatbelts . If I get them before it sells I will install them as we need them. It has no AC lines but the shop said the compressor isn’t locked up and assumes it would all work if new lines were installed and system charged. I was going to have that done this spring. The key for the trunk and doors is broken off in the trunk. It works by putting the broken part in and turning it. It has no sun visors If you want specific pictures please let me know. We didn’t build the car for a show car, we built it as a daily driver. It’s a very dependable and good running car. Exterior Interior Engine Deposits are refundable. Download the Motors app
