Vehicle description
Buick Electra . Condition is Used. Up for sale is my beautiful 1960 Buick Electra 225 convertible. The car has its original color of Tampico red with red and white interior. The car has had a frame on restoration approximately 15 years ago and then was stored and never driven. The paint is Dupont base coat clear coat and the interior was done by SMS when they were located in California. This was one of the last interiors that they sewed up before moving. The motor and transmission were rebuilt. The car runs and drives very nicely and looks amazing. I would say that the condition of the car going by hagerty value standards is somewhere in between a #2 and #3 car but I think that it definitely is a lot closer to a number to than it is to the number 3. The underside of the car is basically as it was originally with undercoating. There is no rust or holes on the underside of the car. The air conditioning system is all original equipment and blows at 45 degrees. Everything is correct and belongs on the core. The tires are. Correct bias-ply wide white wall tires. They have been on the car for a long time. the drivability of the car would be enhanced with a nice set of radials from Coker if you decide to go in that direction.I would say that this car is probably one of the most desirable of the 1960 Buicks that were produced because of the color combination and interior. it is also an air condition convertible with power windows. the bumpers were rechromed back when the restoration was performed and they still present well but they are not perfect. The exterior paint finish is excellent and the car presents very well.I have more pictures of the car so if you are interested and you would like to send me an email address I can forward the portfolio of pictures to you. Thanks for looking. I should also add that it is a 401 motor.
