Seller Notes: “Car is in need of a lot of bodywork paint some chassis work brakes s to be running and driving car itself is mostly rust free. The chassis has been coated with por15 style paint. Has very good tires hardly used. Most other parts are included with the sale. Some pieces are missing and will need to be either replaced or deleted from the car. New fuel tank has been fitted along with brand new custom made driveshaft for MGB drivetrain. There is no interior to speak of although wooden floor panels have been cut. Chassis has had some repairs by previous owner with some metal fab and have messy welds but seem strong.” |

1959 MGA roadster originally old English white body on 1957 chassis. Restoration it started by previous owner he had replace both rocker panels on body. The frame has some minor repairs some custom touches including battery tray. The entire chassis was painted with or 15 glass black. Chassis fitted with MGB front suspension in the rear axle allowing just brakes on the front wheels. New front brake lines. Gas tank is cleaned and painted. The rear fenders were recently media blasted and coated with a light coat of primer, right front fender has lower repair section fitted not welded. Other areas top coated with Eastwood rust encapsulator paint. Main body sanded to bare metal. Body has had a front clip replaced at some point again not by me most likely a long long time ago. The welds can be seen on the front cowl. Bodywork will be needed and front apron and rear apron as well as small areas around bonnet and of course all for fenders. All 4 inner fender splash guards have been fully media blasted to bare metal then coated with Eastwood company rust encapsulator semi gloss black paint. Front wheels are 48 spoke, rear wheels are 60 spokes. Tires are for matching 165-15 Cooper tires these are in excellent condition with two brand new tubes fitted. Windshield style side stanchions are included bottom part of windshield frame is included. There are custom made by previous owner wood floor panels. Rear fender light plinths with good used Lucas tail lights are included. Most other original hardware for the body is included along with hinges latches and many other miscellaneous small pieces. Custom made grille has a stainless mesh insert. OK condition frame is bent in areas and has dings. New left front fender repair section is included. There is also a extra right front fender included.There are no bumpers or bumper mounts. Convertible top frame included. There is no metal dashboard or gauges. There are no headlights or front turn signals no chrome vent trim for cowl. Has a early banjo style MGB three spoke steering wheel included it is in need of full restoration with no horn button. Pictures show all included small parts. Chassis is set up with mounts to fit 1800CC MGB 5-main engine. Included with sale is a short block with no head out intake exhaust. (Not shown in pics). A short block in need of rebuild is included with the sale. Has a cleaned up 4-speed manual non-overdrive transmission with brand new custom made driveshaft. Sebring style fiberglass front valance brand new. No interior or seats included. ~~~~Now including a vintage Thompson Fiberglass (Seattle known for boat manufacturing) hardtop with this auction~~~ The hard top is missing the rear plexiglass window but I do have a cardboard pattern drawn out that is included. The hardtop needs a little bit of work on the mounting and probably new rubber gaskets to the body.
