Vehicle description
This is an uncommon yet very practical vehicle that always gets comments when I take it out. The camper is in very good condition overall.
I have owned since 2005. I used for "long distance" trips with my family to Canada and as far away as Florida. I have used infrequently in recent years and have stored in a garage when not in use. Fits in a regular size garage.
Regularly maintained including the following -
- New Tires (Jun 2019) with about 2,000 miles on them - New Battery (May 2020) - Oxygen Sensor, Secondary Air Intake (Jul 2020) - "Kombi" valve (Aug 2020) - Windshield replaced (Jul 2020)
The Check Engine light on the dash is OFF. Air Conditioning works well and is frigidly cold. Propane tank is at 80% full. The camper has a 1 1/14" U-haul hitch rated at 1,500 lbs.
I have the (1) VW Owners Manual, (2) Winnebago Camper manual and (3) maintenance records for both my ownership and the previous owner. Also included are a full vehicle cover and travel covers ("bra") for the front end and mirrors.
Engine and Transmission are original. Transmission shifts through all 4 forward gears (+ reverse). It gets about 21 MPG on the highway. The engine easily gets the camper up to highway speeds and it cruises nicely at 70 mph.
Happy to answer any questions you have.
Not 100% -
- There is a tear in the back of the canvas. See relevant photo. All of the other canvas panels are in good shape - The electrical "box" for the trailer wiring is not working. The "Convertor 3-to-2 WIRE" from U-haul (part number 14486) needs to be replaced. Brake and turn signal lights on the Camper itself are fine
I am open to shipping the vehicle but am not very experienced with using a vehicle shipping company. For airfare + a fee, I MAY drive it to you as one last trip in her (and fly back home) dependent upon where you live.
I have the camper listed locally and will end the auction early if it is sold.
