Vehicle description

2000 VW GTI 1.8T89,931 milesAS-ISBAD TRANSMISSION (needs rebuild/replacement).I don"t know any more, specifically, regarding this.I"m the original owner of the vehicle. These past few years I"ve put quite a lot of money into taking care of several issues that needed addressing including, but not limited to, hoses, connectors, ignition coils, oxygen sensor, water temp sensor, coolant temp sensor, lower control arm (front), valve cover gasket. In 2018 I added 4 new Hankook tires with 50K mile tread warranty (about 6,500 miles on them). Last year I replaced both brake pad sets, a rear brake disc, a front brake disc & front strut assembly. I have all the paperwork for these actions (+ misc. parts/work). On 7/9/19 I put in an Interstate Battery (35-640, #3) from Costco. It was running great. . then the transmission started to go.I"ve had this VW since 2000 and have decided to let it go.The car runs but has issues shifting into gear. It"s still driveable for short trips but not at all ideal. It"s currently registered as NON-OP.This sale is AS-IS and I"ve set the starting bid accordingly.Neg. Issues:Miscellaneous scratches and dents (see passenger door, front right hood, around bumpers).Broken clip, front left bumper not secure.Driver window (plastic) control lever broken- works if you know the "trick" but needs new lever.Driver armrest fabric (or maybe whole armrest piece) could use replacing.Center armrest hinges (plastic) broken.Tears in driver seat.Leaking coolant (traced to crack near base of coolant tank).Leaking windshield wiper fluid tank.Small "star" crack in windshield (
