1981 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40 My father and I purchased this Landcruiser from the Mecum Auction outside of Chicago a few years ago. It"s sat in our warehouse collecting dust until I took it upon myself to start it"s restoration. My mechanic and I dove into this truck pretty extensively and the following below has been replaced. As follows: New 33x12.5xR17 BFG Mud Terrain KM3 (Set of 5) New Method Beadlocks. Yes, true beadlocks (Set of 5) New Fox 2.0 Shocks all four shocks have been replaced Existing 2" lift New Steering stabilizer replaced New rear brakes. Front brakes are still good. New idler arm New hoses for motor New battery New Antenna New windshield wiper motor/assembly New windshield wiper blades Cleaned existing horn Contacts and now it works New Weather Tech Floor Matts All lights have been relamped (Healights do show KC LED gravity which I will be taking out and putting back the halogens. New HVAC system WITH AC & HEAT by Vintage Air Gen IV - Unit has adjustable fan speeds - Pretty slick setup. Motor has had all/every fluid changed and synethic oil put in Exisitng front grill has been painted black New Warn 10k pound winch New poison spyder winch bracket for warn guide New Alpine Headunit with Siruis XM (Siruis XM works) New USB port in dash New JL C3 5.25 speakers and tweeters New Speaker brackets made by Icon painted black for speakers New antenna New bikini top Comes with an existing brush guard that I took off along with a soft top setup that I took off. Also has a trail marker stick that I took off and you"ll notice the black ball Rear/Driverside of the vehicle which is what holds it.

I don"t have a real reason to sell other than I fell in love with an old Ford F-150 and I can"t afford to have two toys. I"m sure i"ll be bummed i sold this badASS FJ one day, but one toy is all i can swing at the moment. . I have more pictures and video of truck running and can send. Truck is located in Chicago, IL and am happy to show in person. Save yourself the $$ and time as i have already gone through every bolt/issue. This FJ40 has undergone a basic restoration without taking the thing apart as I planned to keep. This truck is hard to let go and is timeless. Cool factor is very high on these Landcruisers.
