Vehicle description
1983 AMC Eagle SX4 · Hatchback · Driven 77,000 miles
For sale is my 1983 AMC Eagle SX4. This car was bought new in AZ and brought to Indiana before I purchased from the original owning family and brought it to NY. The car was garaged most of its life and it shows with only 77k miles on it. The interior is basically mint and has a brand new headliner. Underneath is super clean with no rot and very minimal surface rust in some spots.
This car has a 4.2l I6 with automatic transmission. It runs and drives wonderfully. The 4wd works great. I have done a lot of work to it:
New valve cover Full tune up New tires Front shocks New fuel pump New thermostat
The car doesn’t need much to be perfect. There are some spots on the brown trim that have paint cracks/chips and there is a small dent in the passenger front fender along with a couple of scratches in various spots. Overall I think it looks great and shows very well. All of the a/c parts are there but it doesn’t blow cold. I also haven’t wired those fog lights yet. That’s about all I can think of negative about the car.
It’s an old car and it’s not perfect but its a wonderful driver and a really neat time capsule.
