Very rare and delightful 2016 Cadillac ELR with every option available! This is the car that Cadillac could have owned the electric car market with, but they literally blew the marketing. They started out in 2014 and priced it just short of $80,000 and the public quickly noted that it was a Chevy Volt with leather. The car magazines went wild and called the design "stunning"and "gorgeous" and they were right. This probably is the most bold design General Motors has ever come up with. .but at $80,000 the public just wasn"t interested. .comparing it to the Tesla with performance galore. .but alas they just didn"t sell.
Then came 2015, when they decided not to upgrade, and sales kept falling. For 2016 Cadillac offered a performance package with a little more torque and an exquisite brown soft leather interior for a mere $4000 add on. They lowered the asking price to $72,000 and the car was a big hit. Had it been offered at $60,000 probably would have sold well. At any rate, you will not find another 2016 anywhere in this color combination, mileage and condition. The charcoal grey with brown leather is stunning.
Lets talk about the car. It is a plug in hybrid and I am averaging 63.5 miles per gallon in a full size Cadillac coupe that is lightning fast. Zero to Sixty in under 7 seconds and whisper quiet. Superb Cadillac ride, sports car like handling, and the most comfortable seats you will ever encounter. Has all the goodies, I replaced the tires 10,000 miles ago and has one scratch where I scraped the passenger mirror on the garage door. (Ordered new exterior turning signal light that was scratched, and it will be installed.)
Can"t begin to describe the Bose stereo which I run off the Bluetooth on my cell phone. Exquisite sound. Many people comment on the tiny back seat. .but actually they are fine. .just hard to get into.
Car charges overnight and you get 39 free electric miles every day. Then the four cylinder kicks in and you get another 300 miles at about 33 miles per gallon. .which is truly spectacular when you are enjoying the smooth ride of a Cadillac.
Can"t say enough about this car. Why am I selling it? Just ordered a new Corvette and don"t need two luxury sports cars.
Kelly Blue Book puts these cars in this condition right around $32,000 from a dealer. I"m happy with $29,500 for this truly rare car.
